"DOLLY BREEZE - ZEPHER"

Dolly Breeze - Zephyr is the doll's version of the children's pattern, Little Breeze. All three views of this pattern feature the same square armhole bands as child's and adult's pattern, Summer Breeze. View A is knee length and smocked front and back with a ruffle neckline. View B is a full-length heirloom version that has a bodice band with an easy Swiss edge overlay in the front. This band can be tucked or embroidered or decorated with heirloom laces. View C is constructed of 12 colour coordinated skirt panels and is slightly longer than View A. The hem features playful Harlequin inspired picot points. The skirt can be of 'ice cream' colours or coordinating prints, stripes and checks. The bodice bands and armhole bands are cut in contrasting fabric. Be creative and have fun! This pattern is sized to fit the popular 18" - 19 1/2" vinyl dolls such as the American Girl Doll but it is easy to alter to fit other sizes of doll. Two smocking design plates are included. Why not make a mother/daughter/dolly set in matching or coordinating fabrics?

"The Grace Knott Doll Clothes Collection"

This collection was created for doll collectors and children alike. There are five patterns in the series and each dress pattern contains two views plus an original slip pattern and smocking plate so now you can create a child's dress from the Grace Knott children's patterns and a doll's dress to match! The patterns are sized to fit the popular "American Girl Doll" but with a few alterations will fit many other 18" - 19½" vinyl or porcelain dolls. Updated construction techniques have been included in the patterns that can be used when making the children's dresses as well. The patterns contain touches of heirloom sewing to compliment the smocking. The trims of choice are French Val laces and Swiss embroideries. The dresses have been designed to be 'play friendly' with Velcro closings but can easily be convered to buttons or snaps. If you don't have a doll, there is a pattern for a dressmaker's judy and undergarments so that you can display your work. A general knowledge of sewing and smocking is required.
